LeBron James endorses Kamala Harris for president:

Five days before the 2024 presidential election, LeBron James has officially endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for president.

The NBA star posted a video to his Instagram page in which Tony Hinchcliffe’s racist jokes appeared alongside racist remarks made by former President Donald Trump.

“What are we talking about here? When I think about my kids and my family and how they’re going to grow up, the choice is clear to me.” “Vote Kamala Harris!!!”

At the end of the video is a message that reads: “Hate makes us go backwards.”

The Los Angeles Lakers forward has previously endorsed President Joe Biden and Harris in the 2020 election, as well as Hillary Clinton in 2016. James has also criticized Trump for his “racist comments” before, saying in a 2018 interview that the former president “really cares about people.”

“The man at the helm has given people, racism and negative racism, the opportunity to speak out without fear,” he said. “And that’s what scares us, because he’s with you and he’s there every day, but he allows people to come out and feel safe doing negative things.”

James even formed the group More Than a Vote in 2020 in response to the racial unrest and reckoning that followed the murders of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor. More Than Just a Vote worked with a nonpartisan voting rights group to fight voter suppression.
