The most popular Saturday Night Live The sketch so far in Season 50 has been a musical segment affectionately referred to as “Domingo,” featuring four bridesmaids – including Ariana Grande – singing about the debauchery of the bride’s bachelorette party to Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso.”
Due to the viral success of the drawing (titled “The Bachelorette Party”). SNL revisited “Domingo” in the latest episode, but this time with a different singer as host/musical guest (Charli XCX), a different environment (a baby shower) and a different pop song (Chappelle Rowan’s “Hot to Go” instead of “Hot to Go” by Chappelle Rowan.) “Espresso”).
Heidi Gardner, Ego Nodem and Sarah Sherman reprised their roles as gossipy best friends, with Charlie XCX also on the mic to reveal all the fun mom-to-be (Chloe Feynman) had on her birthday in Miami without her husband (again, Andrew Dismukes, who is no Domingo).
“We got facials at the spa / But Kelsey doesn’t talk at all / We say ‘Kelsey, get off your phone’ / ‘Cause we know who she’s texting, we know who she’s texting,'” the quartet sings over Rowan hits. “Domingo/Kelsey’s texting Domingo/I thought she forgot about this guy/She’s sending him her pregnant naked pictures.”
Like the previous sketch, Domingo, played by Marcelo Hernandez, shows up at the end to rub salt in the husband’s wounds, this time to inform the father-to-be of their collective plans to co-parent their child in Miami.
In addition to the “Babymoon” sketch, host Charli XCX also collaborated with Lonely Island and performed Naughty Tracks as a musical guest.
