Amy LeWood co-created and starred in the BBC comedy/drama “Film Club”; Nabhan Radwan and Suranne Jones are among the cast

Sex educationThe BBC’s Amy-Lou Wood will co-create and star in a romantic comedy series.

She writes Cinema Club with Ralph Davis (House of the Dragon), who also stars in the show alongside Nabhan Radwan (Kaos, on camera), Suranne Jones (Vigil, Dr. Foster), Adam Long (Happy Valley, Masters of the Air) and Leaf Hill (Three Girls, The Serpent Queen).

Gaumont does the production, and Fremantle is responsible for international sales.

The movie revolves around Evie (Wood), who hasn’t left her house in six months after her “wobble.” She runs a movie club in her garage as a way to escape with her best friend Noa (Radwan) and any of her friends.
