As it has been a tradition for more than a decade, the next Friday, December 6 will be held in the town of María de Huerva the thirteenth edition of the Rosendo Gimeno Memorial Cross. An event of the popular modality of Fartleck which gathers every year around 350 runners who come to this town in the province of Zaragoza to spend a pleasant morning of running.

The route of 6,5K will run through some of the streets of the town and then cross the surrounding fields. The longest cross will start from the Stadium Avenue at 10.00 a.m.while the shorter one, of 4,000 meters will start from the same place at 11.00 a.m.. Different circuits have also been set up for schoolchildrenranging from 150 to 1,000 meters, starting at 12.10 a.m.. Once the different races are over, the organization will provide a series of services for the participants.

There will be showers and changing rooms, all participants will receive a “runner’s bag” with various products from the sponsors and a commemorative T-shirt of the race, there will be trophies in the different categories, there will be an Athletics Clinic for children, there will be a checkroom and bicycle storage service and a free video and photography service.

Fartleck Sport organizes and promotes this sporting event with the collaboration of the City Council of María de Huerva. The event is included in the regional calendar under the technical control of the Territorial Committee of Judges of the Aragonese Athletics Federation. In this sense, it is important to emphasize that the altitude reached in various stretches will exceed 300 meters.

The inscriptions are already open and will end next December 1st. The price of these will be twelve euros for federated athletes and five for young people participating in school tests. In addition, those without a license will have to pay two euros more and those registered in María de Huerva, will have access to a discount of two euros.
