At least 34 passengers on two flights carrying high school students from Guam to Japan were sickened with symptoms of possible food poisoningaccording to local emergency services on Friday.

According to the office of Narita airport, one of the largest in the Japanese capital but located in nearby Chiba prefecture (east of Tokyo), 16 passengers were on Japan Airlines Flight 942 and 18 on United Airlines Flight 873.which landed at Narita Airport on Thursday night.

Among the affected passengers, some showed symptoms such as vomiting and 14 had to be transported to the hospital after landing, according to Japan’s Kyodo news agency.
