Lisa is reinvigorating with the announcement of her debut album Ego change. She announced the album, set for release on February 28, in a teaser video on Tuesday.
In the new clip, she uses each dot of the star, a popular logo reused during her album campaign, to reflect five different personalities. The Thai artist wanders through a star-filled galaxy, lays in a butterfly-filled meadow, and rides a Harley along the way. Tron-Inspired by singles like “Rockstar,” “New Woman” featuring Rosalía, and “Midnight Floor,” her latest single released last month, is the soundtrack to the video.
The Blackpink star previously hinted at the album announcement with a mysterious countdown on her website and in an excerpt from the album teaser posted on X.
News of the album comes on the heels of a “fan meet and greet” in five cities across Asia, which wrapped up in Hong Kong on Tuesday. Lisa shined on the American stage in October, where she was the opening model for an all-female collection at the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Similar to the images featured in her album teaser, Lisa began her performance suspended on a motorcycle before singing “Rockstar.”
Next year, Lisa will make her debut as an actress and will star in the third installment of the movie White lotus, Mike White’s satirical vacation drama as an employee at a luxury resort in Thailand. In a Rolling Stone In an interview with South African singer Tila, Lisa discussed her mixed feelings of excitement and nerves ahead of the show’s release.
“I just wanted to try something new that I haven’t had the opportunity to do, because I’ve been singing for eight years, and sometimes you feel like you need something new to try,” she said.
