After a 10-year hiatus from acting, Cameron Diaz is back in action in the first trailer for the action movie Buddy, which also stars Jamie Foxx.

The duo play Emily and Matt, former CIA agents who give up a life of espionage to start a family, but end up… well, not so much. Back to work After his cover is blown. Diaz’s last movie debuted in 2014, when she also starred alongside Foxx in the musical film adaptation “Annie.”

Diaz says in the trailer: “For the first time in a long time, I felt alive again.” “I felt like a bitch again.”

The film will have its world premiere on Netflix on January 17, 2025.

Horrible Bosses director Seth Gordon, who recently directed two episodes of Netflix’s hit series The Night Agent, is directing Back in Action and co-writing with Brendan O’Brien (“Neighbors”). In addition to Diaz and Foxx, the cast also includes Kyle Chandler, Glenn Close, Andrew Scott, Jamie Demetriou, McKenna Roberts and Rylan Jackson.

Producers are Jenno Topping, Peter Chernin and Sharla Sumpter Bridgett of Chernin Entertainment, Beau Bauman of Good One Productions and Gordon of Exhibit A. Foxx, O’Brien, Datari Turner and Tim Lewis are executive producers.
