Conan O’Brien Must Host!
The Academy has confirmed that the Emmy-winning TV personality will host the 2025 Academy Awards in March, taking over as host of the main late-night programming. Jimmy Kimmelwho took home the last two Oscars.
The 61-year-old said in a statement on Nov. 15: “America demanded it, and now it’s happening: Taco Bell’s new Cheesy Chalupa Supreme. In other news, I’ll be hosting the Oscars.”
CEO of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Bill Kramer and president Janet Yang and praised Conan Alum in their news announcement.
They said in a joint statement: “We are thrilled and honored to have the incomparable Conan O’Brien host this year’s Oscars.” “He is the perfect person to help lead our global celebration of the film with his great sense of humor, love of movies and his expertise in live television.”
“His remarkable ability to connect with audiences will bring viewers together to do what the Oscars do best – honor the great films and filmmakers of the year,” they continued.
