Chilean firefighter Abel Espinosa has recorded in first person the scenario faced by a professional when he has to enter a house totally engulfed in flames.
The images, shared by GoPro, make it clear that in each of their interventions the firefighters literally put their lives on the line. In the video, Espinosa can be seen heading with determination to the entrance of a burning house in Santiago de Chile, turning on the hose once inside, where the flames brush against his protective suit, and aiming it at the most critical places in the room.
This, while the firefighter’s shortness of breath sounds in the background and the indications of other colleagues can be heard. In its publication, GoPro emphasizes that Espinosa’s intervention was the key to ensuring that no one was injuredeven though the house was lost”.
“We thank our everyday heroes for their selfless actions day after day.“, reads the message with which the U.S. company accompanies the video.
