Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo I took a page from Margot Robbie‘s Barbie The rules of the game in their style of dressing throughout the months leading up to the theatrical release of Wicked On November 22.

In other words, Grande was in full Glinda mode with pastel pinks, floral embellishments, ruffles, polka dots, and other forms befitting a witch-in-training who will one day be considered “good.” Erivo channels Elphaba’s gravity-defying spirit, evoking both Emerald City and her character’s green leather in a sleek design that’s organized and ready for battle, whether it’s in Oz or on the runway.

Which was the opposite of a bad thing, since Tony winner’s favorite color was already green.

“I love it, and I will always love it,” Erivo said Vogue Magazine in September. “In terms of my choice, it gave me an excuse to buy more green clothes.”

But pink was a new project for Glinda, er, Grande.
