Directed by Tom Nesher and loosely based on incidents from her own life, the movie recounts the sometimes twisted, sometimes comical and sometimes surprising consequences that followed the death of her little brother. Nesher, the daughter of famed Israeli filmmaker Avi Nesher, was inspired by Ari Nesher, who was killed in a hit-and-run accident in 2018 at the age of 17.

When Nati is killed in a car accident, Eden discovers that he has a secret girlfriend named Maya (Daria Rosen). Aiden embarks on an undercover investigation, stalking Maya, befriending her, and eventually developing an obsession that draws Maya into her own life, hoping that their shared love for Natty will somehow keep him alive.

Ed Arentz, Co-President of Greenwich Entertainment, says: “We are thrilled to release the confirmed debut of Tom Necher who draws on his personal trauma to craft a deeply moving and relatable story of a fiery young man facing sudden loss and an unexpected connection.
Tom Necher adds: “Nietzsche said: “When you stare too long at the abyss, the abyss stares back at you.” Faced with the desire to never get over my brother’s death, I wrote a film that looks into the abyss and finds not only immense pain, but also complexity, beautiful memories, youthful energy, humor and even romance. Now, with Greenwich Entertainment acquiring and distributing ApproachI am happy to share this story with anyone who has lost love and is trying to get it back.
Fandango Sales’ Raffaella Di Giulio negotiated the deal with Greenwich Entertainment’s Ed Arentz.
