Hundreds of people showed up to a Harry Styles impersonation contest in London despite the obvious issue: “Temu’s Harry Styles”

Hundreds of people attended a Harry Styles lookalike contest in London’s Soho Square on Saturday to enjoy the spectacle, but many attendees were left saddened after it became clear there was one major issue: None of the contestants looked much like Harry Styles in the first place. Place.

As @hiloyonce wrote on Twitter, formerly X, “None of them look like him, like the girl who is all Harry Styles by Timo,” referring to the online store that sells knockoffs at deeply discounted (and often disappointing) prices.

The contest was organized by journalist Katrina Mirpuri, who announced the event on social media on Tuesday.

Judges for the event included Ryan Lange from “RuPaul’s Drag Race UK” and “The Book of Harry” author Bonnie McLaren. Various prizes including £50 and hair products were given away.

Despite the audience’s enthusiasm, many on social media did not like the so-called complications. “This is very embarrassing for those who were lied to.” @flickrofheaven wrote on X when @94hischier replied: “Who is the blonde bitch? How’s that Harry Styles?

Another person asked if any of the contestants had seen a picture of the patterns after Pop Base shared a video of the winners, and @iMi_24000 commented: “I could be Harry Styles too, who knows.”

X user @anjanakandhan summed it up succinctly when he wrote: “If the Harry lookalike contest tells me anything, it’s that you need to stop telling random white men that they look like Harry Styles.”

Unfortunately for the fans, Styles didn’t crash the Timothy Chalamet event in New York, but the crowd was still having fun. Mirpuri warned the crowd against any behavior that might attract authorities, saying: “We have zero tolerance for evil. My mom is here and she will scold you if you start to feel bad.”
