Jennifer Lopez supports Kamala Harris at the Vegas rally:

Jennifer Lopez took the microphone at a Kamala Harris campaign rally in Las Vegas yesterday, encouraging Americans to stand up against Donald Trump. After admitting that she had been on stage in Las Vegas several times, Lopez emphasized that the podium was “the most important stage I’ve ever been on.”

During her 13-minute speech, Lopez echoed remarks made by Tony Hinchcliffe about Puerto Rico during Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden, where the comedian described her home as a “floating garbage island.”

Lopez said: “I promised myself I wasn’t going to be emotional, but you know, we have to be emotional,” Lopez said. “We have to be upset. We have to be scared and angry. Our pain is important. We matter.”

The singer and actress called Trump “the greatest adversary America has ever faced internally” and said he has “consistently worked to divide us.” “At Madison Square Garden, he reminded us who he really is and how he really feels,” she said. “At Madison Square Garden, he reminded us of who he really is and how he really feels,” she said. “It wasn’t just Puerto Ricans who were offended that day. It was every Latino in this country. It was humanity and anyone with decent character.

Lopez also compared her dramatic background to Harris’. “When I started working in television and film, I could get roles like the maid or the loud-mouthed Latina, but I knew I had more to offer,” she said. “And I think there are a lot of people in this country who feel the same way, who know they are capable of more, and we all just want a chance to prove it. And elections are about choosing leaders who support that, not someone who gets in the way.”

At the end of her speech, Lopez emphasized her Puerto Rican heritage, but said it was just one aspect of her identity. She told the crowd: “I am Puerto Rican, and yes, I was born here, and we are Americans,” she told the crowd. “I’m a mom. I am a sister. I’m an actor and an artist. And I love Hollywood endings. I love when the good guy wins, or in this case, the good girl.

She continued: “With an understanding of our past and faith in our future, I will proudly cast my vote for Kamala Harris for President of the United States. You can’t even spell ‘American’ without the word ‘Rican’. This is our country too and we must exercise our right to vote on November 5th. Please.”
