Kevin Costner said Saturday at Deadline Contenders Los Angeles that he’s not giving up on his sprawling four-part western film series. Horizon: An American EpicFor whom Chapter 2 Pulled from the theatrical release planned for August afterward Chapter 1 Failed at the box office in July.
“I hope, I dream, to meet all the billionaires we all hear about – they’re all hiding in the shadows.” Horizon The director, star and co-writer drew laughter from the audience near the end of a panel discussion with three film collaborators: Cinematographer J. Michael Morrow, costume designer Lisa Lovaas and composer John Debney.

Costner – who recently exited the popular TV series Yellowstone after four seasons – it was said before that production for Chapter 3 In progress. He did not specify on Saturday how long that would take, but promised: “I will do it 3“.

“I don’t know how I’m going to do it, but I’m going to do it and then I’m going to do the fourth. If you want to say ‘the end’ at this point, this is the end.”
Costner likened the project, first contemplated in the late 1980s, to pushing the Rock of Sisyphus up a mountain, and looking for evidence of extraterrestrial life.
“It’s my UFO,” he said. “I’ve seen it, I’ll never forget it, and I’ll chase it as long as I can. I’ll figure out a way to get you… 3 and 4Because you went to 1 It will go to 2And we will all go west together.
