“I heard!” he said of the enthusiastic reviews of the episode on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. “I mean, I was there. I read it, I was there for it, I know what’s going on – at least I think so. It wasn’t really intentional, at least not at first. I think that’s the case now.”

Culkin explained: “I was in Poland filming this movie when the last three episodes aired, and I couldn’t log into my Max account. So my wife actually went to Instagram and said hey, if there’s anyone out there who can log you in so Kieran can watch the last two episodes?” Culkin explained.

“And people did! Everyone just gave everyone their email and password and stuff. I was able to watch episodes eight and nine, but before the last episode I moved to another hotel that didn’t have a smart TV, so I couldn’t watch it at that time.

“Then I came home, had a vacation, blah blah blah. Do you know when two months old is? I kind of missed the moment. Does that not make sense? Maybe it doesn’t make sense.”

Culkin won a Golden Globe and an Emmy for his performance as Roman Roy on the series created by Jesse Armstrong.
