To save her, JJ hands over the crown, only to have Chandler stab him in the stomach for leaving it in the desert. JJ then dies in Kiara’s arms after telling her he loves her again. (Again, oh!)
But as heartbreaking as it is, JJ’s death won’t be in vain, serving as the catalyst for a quest for revenge, and the rest of the Pogues are sure to start on the fifth installment of the show.
The fifth season will also be the last on the show, according to the creators Shannon Burke, Jonas Butt and Josh Pat.
“From this beginning, we imagined a mystery that would lead to a five-season journey of adventure, treasure hunting, and friendship.” The trio wrote in a Nov. 4 statement shared on the show’s social media. “At the time, seven years ago, it seemed impossible that we could truly tell the story of the entire five seasons, but here we are, at the end of our fourth season, still cutting it close.”
