Prosecutors claim Liam Payne’s friendship with Argentine waiter may have led to death – Report

The events surrounding the sudden death of former One Direction star Liam Payne included a friendship with an Argentinian waiter. Daily Mail Reports.

A month after Payne died after falling from the balcony of his hotel room on Oct. 16, the newspaper published the results of its investigation, including:

  • On October 2 at an upscale restaurant in Buenos Aires, Payne met 24-year-old waiter Brian Nahuel Baez.
  • The couple later exchanged Instagram messages, with Payne using a secret account. In an interview with television station Telefe Noticias, Baez later claimed that Payne was seeking to buy drugs.
  • They continued to spend time together in the days leading up to Payne’s death, and Baez said they spent time doing drugs and listening to the singer’s unreleased music.
  • The last time Baez saw the singer was two days before his death, when he asked Payne to come meet a friend of his, who was a fan.

Baez and two others are still under investigation by Argentine authorities. The singer’s funeral has yet to take place, but his body was reportedly returned to the UK after his father’s visit to Buenos Aires.
