Janelle questioned how Cody handled the family’s money
Janelle, grumbling about the family’s inability to pay off Coyote Pass, said Cody claimed he had “all these other debts.” However, she watched as he snatched up other assets like trailers and home decor. “I see all the artwork on their walls,” she said of Rubin and Cody’s home. “I see all this stuff. And it’s okay, I have money and I spend it on stuff, too.” (For his part, Cody said much of his money went toward buying cars – “he basically had a fleet” – and insurance for the kids.)
While Janelle admitted that she wasn’t sure how Cody and Robyn handled their finances, “I was always surprised at how nice her backyard was. It was completely finished. And there was always stuff in her house. And I was like, ‘Huh.
Bottom line, she said, “He doesn’t prioritize what I need or what I want.” The issue eventually wore her down. “I think after a while, I started to see it, and my kids were getting it very Angry about it, like my adult children. Like, “What the hell, Mom?”
However, Robyn’s opinion was that she was too cautious with her budget after the collapse of her first marriage.
She shared during the Sept. 22 episode: “I wasn’t good with money,” she shared during the Sept. 22 episode. “When I was young, I got hit pretty hard, and then during my divorce I learned how to budget for myself really, really well.” As for her sister wives, she said, “You have to have a different priority in terms of where your money is going compared to what I have, that’s all.”
