A 6-year-old boy from Gijón died this weekend after being attacked by a dog in the Portuguese city of Chaves, where he was spending a few days with his family. The news has been received with “great pain and sadness”. at the College of the Assumption in Gijónin Asturiaswhere the child was in the first year of primary school.
According to the newspaper El Comercio, the event occurred this Saturday afternoon in the family’s own home, where there were two dogs. Apparently, one of them seriously attacked the minorwho was treated by the emergency services. However, due to the severity of the injuries they could not do anything for his life.
The news has been confirmed by the minor’s own center this Sunday through its website. “In these complicated moments, the entire educational community we join the pain of his family and we invite you to join us in our prayers,” they said in a statement.
