Despite losing the fight by unanimous decision, Tyson said on Saturday that he has “no regrets” about taking on 27-year-old YouTuber Jake Paul. He wrote on X: “This is one of those situations where you lose but you still win. I’m grateful for last night. I don’t regret stepping into the ring for the last time. I almost died in June. He had 8 blood transfusions. I lost half my blood and 25 pounds in the hospital and I had to fight to get my strength back for the fight, so I won.”

“For my children to see me go toe-to-toe and complete 8 rounds with a talented fighter half my age in front of a packed Dallas Cowboy Stadium is an experience no man should ask for. Thank you.

While speaking with reporters after the fight, Paul said he easily handled Tyson after the third round. “Definitely a little bit. He explained: “I wanted to put on a show for the fans, but I didn’t want to hurt someone who didn’t need to be hurt.”

Although this may have meant that people in the audience (some of whom booed and left before the fight was over) were upset, Paul added that he wouldn’t have done anything differently. “So I couldn’t really get him to stand up to me or slide and do something cool or whatever, but I don’t care what people have to say,” he added. “They’re always going to have something to say, and that’s it.”
