Election Day is just around the corner and late-night hosts are ready. Or as ready as they can be given the circumstances. Jimmy Kimmel used his last show before the election to make a passionate plea to get rid of Donald Trump, while others mocked the Republican candidate’s recent meltdown into the microphone during one of his campaign rallies.

Stephen Colbert quipped: “After a two-year campaign, we finally made it through all 20 years.” Late show. “I felt for a long time.” He continued more seriously: “We are all, in a real sense, about to witness history. Good or bad. I think that’s how the people of Pompeii felt when Vesuvius was trying to get re-elected.

Colbert recounted how none of the experts could predict the outcome of the election. That didn’t stop Kamala Harris from declaring “We will win” during her rally in Allentown, but it did lead to Colbert tapping a block of wood, throwing salt over his shoulder, and frantically licking a rabbit’s foot before taking a shot of tequila. Clearly, it’s for luck.

He detailed Harris’ “positive” closing message, noting that Trump’s final message was a bit different. Colbert said: “It’s ‘bring me the liver of my enemy with a stick.'” He then played footage of Trump imitating a sexual hit on his microphone stand. Colbert said: “I was wrong.” “He clearly has a jobs plan.”

on Jimmy Kimmel LiveKimmel had a more direct message in his monologue, making his closing argument for the election.

“Forget what side you’re on,” Kimmel said. “I want you to take a moment to imagine a world where you wake up in the morning, check the news, and nobody says the words ‘Donald’ or ‘Trump. Just a bunch of normal, boring stuff. Wouldn’t that be nice? No signs in the park. No red hats. No arguing with your grandfather. You check the sports, Al Roker checks the weather, and you go to work.

He concluded: “Let’s remove this cancerous tumor from our collective national colon and actually move forward. Don’t forget to vote!”

Jordan Klepper had the honor of hosting Daily ShowThe final episode before Election Day and used it as an opportunity to talk about Harris’s final letter and Trump’s final BJ.

Klepper said: “Tomorrow is the big day after a long wait.” “Tilda Swinton’s birthday. She has become ageless. So congratulations to her. Tomorrow is also election day. And look, I’m not in the prediction business, but I still think Joe Biden can pull it off.

Klepper offered the difference in messaging for both candidates in the run-up to the election. Klepper said: “For Kamala, it’s a message of hope, unity and ‘find out who my friends are’.” “While Kamala ends the campaign on a note of joy and celebrity hype, Donald Trump’s closing argument is that he’s angry at basically everyone.”

The host added, before playing the infamous microphone clip, “But Trump wasn’t just emitting dark emotions, he was also emitting a strange sexual energy.”

“What are we doing here, people?” Clipper replied happily. “I hate to say it, but can we please get back to the manual labor routine, please? I mean, you know a campaign has gone off the rails when you go to C-SPAN and they ask if you’re over 18.

on Tonight’s showJimmy Fallon noted: “We finally made it.” He added with anticipation: “I can’t stand it. This must be the kind of anxiety that Carnival Cruise’s PR person feels every day.

Fallon also played footage of the Trump incident using a microphone for audience groans. Fallon replied: “His crew was like: ‘Oh my God, he’s blowing it.

on Late Night with Seth Meyershost Seth Meyers used his “Closer Look” segment to reflect on the final moments of the election. “None of us can control what’s going to happen tomorrow,” he said. “We can only control how drunk we are when it happens.”

Myers also broadcast the microphone moment from Trump’s rally, calling it the candidate’s “closing message.” “I had a flashback to when I tried to turn on Cinemax because I heard my parents coming down the stairs,” Myers said. “Seriously, dude, if you do that during rallies, you’ll be banned from game nights. I don’t care what the answer was.”
