Tiffany Pollard, Frankie Grande, Cheryl Burke and other stars in “America’s Worst Chefs: Celebrity Edition” | Exclusive

Food Network will ring in the new year with some celebrity chefs and questionable dishes. TheWrap presents an exclusive first look at the lineup of “America’s Worst Chefs: Celebrity Edition: Heroes vs. Villains.”

The upcoming season, which will be the 28th installment of the cooking competition reality show, will premiere on January 5, 2025 at 8 p.m. ET/PT with a two-hour premiere. It also marks the eighth celebrity iteration and the first not to feature Chef Anne Burrell.

Now let’s move on to the main course: This upcoming season will feature 10 contestants from the worlds of reality TV, sports, music and more. Team Hero will include Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach; “Dancing with the Stars” pro Cheryl Burke; actor, dancer and “Big Brother” Season 16 contestant Frankie Grande; Olympic skier and “Stars on Mars” winner Adam Rippon; and “RuPaul’s Drag Race” winner Trinity the Tuck. Team Villain will include “The Challenge” and “House of Villains” icon Wes Bergman; “Love Is Blind” and “Perfect Match” star Bartis Bodine; “The Bachelor” contestant Corinne Olympios; “Flavor of Love,” “House of Villains” and “I Love New York” fan favorite Tiffany “New York” Pollard; and Big Brother and Amazing Race contestant Rachel Riley.

Led by returning mentor Chef Jeff Mauro and newcomer Chef Antonia Lofaso, America’s Worst Chefs seeks to transform this group of failed foodies into master chefs. Eliminations will take place weekly, and the most improved star will win $25,000 USD for the charity of their choice, as well as bragging rights for their team captain.

Betsy Ayala, chief content and food officer at Warner Bros. Discovery, said in a statement announced Thursday: “All of the celebrity recruits for this season have reputations that precede them, and their larger-than-life personalities are front and center in the kitchen.” … “Jeff and Antonia have a lot of work ahead of them in guiding these stars, but the transformations are impressive and the laughs continue.”

The season premiere will ask the contestants to prepare their favorite dinner dish. Guest Carson Kressley (“Queer Eye for the Straight Guy”) will then give chefs Mauro and Lofaso their own challenge to determine who will lead Team Hero and who will lead Team Villain. This will be followed by the main course challenge, where the contestants will be asked to fillet a whole fish and imitate a seafood dish.

America’s Worst Chefs is produced by Objective Media Group America, an All3 Media America company.
