Trump sweeps Harris in a less-divided-than-expected election and will become U.S. president again

All the polls had been predicting for months an election day that was going to end without a clear result. The polls pointed to a technical draw in the swing statesseven swing states that would lengthen the recount by days or even weeks. The lack of official data threatened an accusation of fraud at some polling stations. However, nothing of the sort has happened. The former president and Republican candidate Donald Trump will almost certainly return to the Oval Office after beating Kamala Harris in six of these seven territories. Although the U.S. media are reluctant to definitively hand over the states of Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan, the difference between both candidates and the trend in favor of the tycoon point to a more comfortable electoral victory than expected.

With tonight’s results, Donald Trump takes away the thorn from four years ago, when he was unable to revalidate his presidency after losing to Joe Biden. That defeat led him to denounce an electoral fraud that he could never prove and that led to the assault of the Capitol by his followers. He never wanted to admit the victory of the Democrat, not even when asked during the debates of this electoral campaign, something that not only has not taken its toll on him, but has been valued by his acolytes, who have given him enough support for him to step on the carpet of the White House again.

The victory of the Republican Party is capital, because not only has it won the necessary electoral majority and the popular vote, but also has managed to regain control of the Senate and foreseeably of the House of Representatives.. A circumstance that will give him total power to do and undo as he pleases during the next few years.

It is still unclear when the winner will be officially known in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona and Nevada, but with different percentage counts, in most of them Trump is leading, so he is close to the goal of reaching the 270 that gives victory.

In addition to the hinge states of North Carolina and Georgia. The Republican has also picked up Indiana, Kentucky, South Carolina, South Carolina, West Virginia, Ohio, Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Texas, Wyoming, Montana, Utah, Idaho and 3 delegates from Nebraska. While Harris has Vermont, Connecticut, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Rhose Island, Colorado, New York, California, Oregon, Washington, New Mexico and a delegate from Maine.
