Donald Trump received a warm welcome Saturday as he celebrated his election victory in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in New York with Elon Musk And some of his cabinet picks.
Trump entered the arena amid loud music and cheers from the crowd at UFC 309 at the Madison Square Garden. The president-elect spent most of the evening seated between UFC President Dana White and Tesla CEO Musk.
Two of Trump’s key cabinet members, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. y Tulsi Gabbardin addition to Vivek Ramaswamywho will lead Trump’s cost-cutting Government Efficiency Department alongside Musk, were also in the crowd, collects the BBC.
Trump also greeted with enthusiasm the podcaster and UFC presenter Joe Roganwho endorsed the president-elect after appearing on his program before the election.
Trump greeted the fans, who chanted “USA, USA!” as he walked to the octagon, before immersing himself in cheers and dancing as UFC played footage celebrating his election victory over Kamala Harris.
Jon Jones, who retained his UFC heavyweight title, celebrated then heading over to greet Donald Trump. and handing the title to the president-elect.
“I want to say a big thank you to President Donald Trump. for being here tonight“, Jones said, receiving a huge roar of approval from the crowd.
Trump has been a longtime supporter of the UFC and has attended many of its events over the years and Dana White has been one of Trump’s most prominent supporters.
The UFC president delivered a speech in the Republican National Convention in July, saying, “I’m in the tough guy business and this man is the toughest, most resilient human being I’ve ever met in my entire life.”
