The Coldplay singer recently stopped another Australian show to ensure the safety of a young fan. Now, fans across the internet are praising Martin’s actions, with footage of the incident going viral on social media.

While crowded arenas are great for musicians, they are not always the most comfortable for concertgoers. Coldplay’s Chris Martin noticed a young boy struggling in the standing section during a Nov. 7 show in Sydney, Australia and paused the concert to help him.
“Sit here, okay?” The 47-year-old rocker said, pointing to the child. “You don’t have to squeeze.”
“Can we get some headphones for him?” Martin asked as the security guard helped the boy approach the stage. “You don’t have to be crushed by all those adults. “You sit there, little brother… better… good.”

Even after the little boy settled into his new seat, Martin continued to prioritize his comfort. “Do you want a Coke or something?” The “Viva La Vida” singer asked. He quickly added: “I mean a drink,” much to the delight of the crowd.
“We’ll take care of you,” Martin assured the young boy when he returned to the microphone.

Coldplay fans praised Chris Martin’s heartwarming gesture as footage of the incident went viral on social media. One TikTok user wrote: “Ah, once a daddy, always a daddy.”
Another added: “That was so beautiful I almost cried, he’s the sweetest man, bro.”
Coldplay will resume Music of the spheres World Tour on Wednesday (Nov. 13) in Auckland, New Zealand. After the three-night run, they will pause the tour until after the holidays. Music of the Spheres will resume on January 9 in Abu Dhabi.
The tour returns to the U.S. on May 31 in Stanford, California.
