As early election results showed that the 2024 presidential election was closer than some realized, Fox News’ Jesse Watters credited the “Democratic machine” for making the race competitive.

“You would think this would be a huge victory for Donald Trump,” Waters said. “I don’t get it, only 13 percent of Americans feel like they’re making financial progress and that Kamala Harris is competitive.”

Waters went on to give “kudos to the Democratic machine for making this race competitive,” saying that Harris, who has been Vice President Joe Biden’s running mate since 2021, “came out of nowhere.” “Nobody knows who she is,” Waters said. “She hasn’t run a very specific campaign and she is; they’re making it a very competitive race.”

Waters added that the network didn’t mention anything surprising, except for New Jersey, which was called to go to Harris early Tuesday night.

Elsewhere on Fox News, Jeanine Pirro admitted to being “nervous” about Harris’ ability to beat Trump, and said she woke up with the election on her mind, just like the rest of America. As the day went on, Pirro said she “started to get nervous,” especially when she was asked at the polls and by her community whether Trump would win the election.

“I don’t know why, I mean I’ve run for president five times. I was nervous, but at the same time, you think, ‘Well, it has to go the way I want it to go,’ but I’m nervous because everyone is texting me. “Everybody’s calling me,” Perot said. “I say: I don’t know yet, I don’t know yet.”

Similarly, Perot said Harris “just showed up,” while calling the election “historic,” citing Trump’s impeachment, impeachment and two assassination attempts.

“I say the American people are smarter than all that, but I think today is the day we ignore the polls … and we go in with all our guts and hope our godfather wins,” he said.
