Gabrielle Union joins a currently growing list of public figures leaving the social media platform X.

Union continued: “Platforms like X are built on real connections, real sharing, and creative expression, all of which are grounded in respect for user privacy and trust. “However, with recent and upcoming changes to the Terms of Service – and the return of volatile numbers – I find myself at a crossroads, facing a trend I can no longer fully support. I am committed to participating in spaces that truly value inclusivity, respect, and integrity in the digital world. Sometimes, that means recognizing the last straw and knowing when to walk away.

However, the actress is not disappearing completely, saying she can still be found on platforms such as Instagram, X-like Threads, TikTok, Bluesky (a social media startup very similar to X), Spil, and Facebook.

“To everyone I’ve connected with here, thank you for the laughs, ideas, and endless support. I’m not exactly disappearing!”

She added that the platforms she mentioned can serve as places where people can “continue to build meaningful connections and positive emotions. Thank you all for being an incredible part of this journey! Let’s continue to spread love and light to each other in ways that really matter.
