President Biden will address the nation on the results of the 2024 election Thursday morning, after Vice President Kamala Harris dropped out of the race Wednesday afternoon.

Joe Biden dropped out of the race in July and immediately endorsed Harris, saying: “My first decision as the party’s nominee in 2020 was to choose Kamala Harris as my vice president. “It was the best decision I’ve ever made. Today I want to give my full support and endorsement to Kamala as our party’s nominee this year.”

In a letter to X on Wednesday, Biden stood by that decision, adding that “his story represents the best of American history.”

Here’s what you need to know to watch Biden’s speech.

His speech will be the first time he will directly address voters with a proper speech.

What did Harris say in her concession speech?

In her concession speech, Harris gracefully conceded the election, noting that she invited Trump to do so, but vowed to continue fighting for the American people.

“My heart is full today, full of gratitude for the trust you have placed in me, full of love for our country and full of determination. He said from Washington, D.C: “The outcome of this election is not what we wanted, not what we fought for, not what we voted for. “But hear me when I say: The light of the American promise will always shine as long as we never give up and as long as we keep fighting.”
