Keke Palmer remembers Ryan Murphy attacking her while working on “Scream Queens” for scheduling other commitments on her days off.

Palmer, who starred in both seasons of Murphy’s “Scream Queens,” wrote in her book “Master of Me” that she used her day off while filming the show to schedule other business meetings. When production shifts caused the crew to ask her to show up that day, she decided to keep her previous commitment. This choice led to a lively phone call with Murphy where he “demolished her.”

“It was like being in the dean’s office,” Palmer said. Los Angeles Times while promoting the book. “He said, ‘I’ve never seen you act this way before. I can’t believe that you, of all people, would do something like that.

The call took Palmer by surprise. After a long talk, she thought she and the mega-producer were on better terms. But that wasn’t the case from the co-star’s perspective.

He told the Los Angeles Times: “I said Ryan talked to me and I think he’s fine, and she said: It’s bad, trying to scare me or something like that, which was a little annoying.” …

In her book, Palmer discussed why she chose to keep her other commitments around the attempts to get her to show up and shoot on her day off. She explained that she sees herself as a company as much as Murphy sees himself as a company.

Palmer wrote in the book: “I’m still not sure if Ryan cared or understood, and that’s okay, because he was just focused on his work, and that’s not an issue for me,” Palmer wrote in the book. “But what I do know is that even if he didn’t care, and even if I never work with him again, he knows that I see myself as a company too.”

Murphy did not respond to TheWrap’s request for comment.

Palmer’s book, Sadie, will be published on November 19.
