Elon Musk, the Tesla, SpaceX and Social Network X entrepreneur, plans to await the results of the U.S. election alongside former president and Republican candidate Donald Trump at his Palm Beach (Florida) residence, in what promises to be a long night because of the tightness of the polls on who will be the winner.

According to sources close to the businessman, quoted by the newspaper New York Times and ABC television, Musk is a member of the close guests awaiting vote count at his Mar-a-Lago residence in Palm Beach Florida).

The 53-year-old South African businessman is one of the former president’s (2017-2021) staunchest supporters and has thrown his full weight behind the in support of the MAGA (Make America Great Again) movement.

The former president’s campaign has organized several events in Palm Beach, with varying levels of exclusivity, including a dinner for a small number of donors at Mar-a-Lago and an even smaller gathering for those who will hang out with him overnight, according to the New York paper.

Trump also plans to appear at an event at the Palm Beach Convention Center later in the evening, where supporters of the MAGA movement, have been waiting for him since early afternoon.

Musk has spent at least $119 million. on a super PAC supporting the Republican and organized events on his behalf in the key swing state of Pennsylvania.

In addition, the businessman accompanied Trump this month at the symbolic rally the former president held in the small town of Butler, Pennsylvania, the same place where he was almost assassinated last July 13.

Trump voted with his wife, Melania Trump, Tuesday morning at a Palm Beach polling place, where he was accompanied by former New York Mayor Rudy Giulliani.

“We’re doing very well in Georgia (a ‘swing’ state)”. and everywhere else,” Trump told the media accompanied by the first lady at the polling place in this city where his luxury Mar-a-Lago resort is located.

Despite complaining about the likely delay and wait in computing the election results, Trump said that, “if it is a fair election.” he will be the first to recognize the results, although he did not go on to specify or develop this concept.

In response to questions from journalists, the former president explained that he will receive at 17.00 local time (22.00 GMT) at his residence in Mar-a-lago some four or five thousand people to follow the canvass and projections of the results, including Musk.

On the behavior of his followers and how they would react to an eventual adverse result, the former president (2017-2021) said he does not plan to convey any guidelines to them because, he noted, “they are not violent people”.

In a tweet posted earlier this afternoon, Musk, who has been very active all day, wrote: “The cavalry has arrived. The men are voting in record numbers. Now they realize everything is on the line.”
