The Fab Five are back – or at least a new version of them. In a new trailer for Strange Eye Season 9, culture expert Karamo Brown, food expert Anthony Borowski, grooming expert Jonathan Van Ness, and fashion expert Tan France are joined by newcomer Jeremiah Brent, who will take on the role of interior design expert. Brent replaces Bobby Berk, who left after season eight.

Season 9 is set in Las Vegas and will feature a range of heroes, from a struggling former showgirl to a dedicated librarian. In the promo, the Fab Five bring their transformative skills to Sin City, and Brent laments the result of their work. “Is that how you feel every time?” He asks his co-stars.

The trailer also recognizes the cast changes. “The world is changing, we’ve grown and changed, and even our crew is changing,” Brown says of the revamped Fab Five. Brent adds: “I feel like I’m finally home with the Fab Five.”

Brent came on board after former interior design star Burke left the show in 2023. Although Burke’s departure was abrupt, it initially seemed amicable. But 2024 Rolling Stone The investigation revealed a different picture. Cheyenne Roundtree wrote in March after speaking to 10 people: “Van Ness’ behavior allegedly contributed to discord within the Fab Five, with two sources saying it led to some members of the group – including Burke – being reluctant to shoot scenes with Van Ness.” Strange Eye Production members and resources.

Van Ness responded to allegations of abusive behavior during filming in June 2024, calling the article “largely untrue and done in bad faith,” but admitted: “I know there were times when I could have done better.”
