T-Pain is on the front lines of protecting true lovers from bitter isolation after collaborating with Mark Zuckerberg on a special acoustic cover of “Get Low.” The duo cut the Lil Jon and Eastside Boyz record as a gift for the META founder’s wife in honor of their wedding anniversary. Whether the opposition comes from stripping the optimistic record to its bones or in Eat the Rich’s response to the musician collaborating with the billionaire tech mogul, T-Pain doesn’t want to hear it.
“It’s impossible for some people to have fun. T-Pain said: “I’ve learned how not to worry about what you’re talking about.” Instagram a few hours after the song dropped on Thursday. “Why do you hate happiness so much? You don’t like it when people do good things, you don’t like it when people do things for their wives. Zuckerberg shared the backstory behind the gesture, writing: “Get Low was playing when I first met Priscilla at a college party, so we listen to it every year on our anniversary.”
But it wasn’t just about people not accepting some grand gesture of love. There was something about people choosing something generally unimportant to have an issue with that sent T-Pain over the edge. “Assholes do something good in their fucking life, and then all of a sudden, I need to distance myself,” he said. “Shut the fuck up! Shut the fuck up! What the fuck are you doing on your phone right now, looking at T-Pain? How the fuck did you just watch these three videos? That’s three minutes of your fucking time, you could have been doing that shit you said you didn’t have time for [for]”.
In short, T-Pain thinks everyone needs to log off and touch the grass. “You guys are so serious,” he added. “Go climb a tree.”
