‘Yellowstone’ final season: Stars Spill series finale secrets and occasional title rumors (Exclusive)
Yellowstone Fans finally got their answer, and they’re not happy about it.
The fate of John Dutton III, the character he played Kevin Costner It was revealed when the final round of episodes of the show premiered on Nov. 11.
While viewers knew that Costner – who led the successful Paramount+ series for four and a half seasons and exited the show in the middle of season five – would no longer appear on YellowstoneIt was unclear how the show would handle his absence.
The show wasted no time in revealing Jon’s fate during its first new episode in two years.
At the top of the episode, Costner’s character is found dead from a gunshot wound. John’s children find his body, and it is initially believed that he died by suicide. However, by the end of the episode, it is revealed that Sarah Atwood (played by Dawn Olivieri) – The girlfriend of John’s estranged son Jamie (played by Wes Bentley) – Plotted a murder plot against him and hired someone to kill him.
