Wanapix Room 10 once again proved that it is ready to compete with any team from First Divisionbut once again the points slipped away from them. The team from lost 2-1 against Barça in a duel in which they were ahead for 30 minutes and deserved to score.

Barça came out with intensity and showed it in the first minute with two attempts by Lozano; the first hit the post and the second was repelled by Iván. Wanapix defended Barça’s initial onslaught and showed effectiveness in their approach to the opposing goal. In a strategic play, Nacho threw a pass to the far post where Nando Torres appeared to finish and make it 0-1.

Barça took complete control of possession and chances, cornering Wanapix in their own half. For their part, the Maó side tried to respond with direct play using the pivot, and Nando forced Feixas into a great save from a header. Little by little, the local chances came and went, the clearest one being a forced shot by Catela from six meters, although he came up against his former teammate Iván Bernad. Catela was the most active for Barça at the end of the first half, although he was unsuccessful with his shots.

SECOND HALF

The second half started with Barça maintaining the dominance shown at the end of the first half. The locals tried their luck in the first moves, but Iván Bernad appeared to neutralize the attempts. Although Rivera had a slight approach, Barça kept control, although without success.

Iván kept out a shot from Matheus, while Dyego hit the post with a powerful volley from a corner kick.

Barça finally found the equalizer with a goal similar to Wanapix’s: Fits latched onto Antonio’s pass at the far post and beat Ivan. With the equalizer, Wanapix looked for Feixas’ goal with more intention, but neither Carlos García nor Ortego managed to beat him.

The offensive failures of the team were punished by Dyego, who, in an individual action, scored the 2-1 with a cross shot. Jorge Palos immediately opted for the goalkeeper-player after 2-1 and it almost paid off. Wanapix finished all the plays in numerical superiority, but the post denied them the equalizer on two occasions.
